I've played in a few Scenarios/Big Games.
Red Dawn at Venture Games in Clayton, CA
August, 2002
I was working in the Bay Area during the Summer of 2002, and Mike (the owner) was able to re-open his field right before I left to go home. I have to say I really liked the field. It was great for pump play and I had a great time. Mike is one heck of an asset to paintball!
Battle For Middle Earth at APP Greeley, CO
July, 2003
Being the geek that I am, I loved the idea of this game. It was great fun and being able to use shields in the final battle was just incredible.
T3: The Rise of the Machines at APP Greeley, CO
August, 2003
This was another fun game. It rained more than you could imagine. You couldn't shoot straight, you couldn't see out of you goggles and your shorts were wet. It was the best game I've been to.
HALO at APP Greeley, CO
October, 2003
This game was a wild ride from start to end. The final battle, which incorporated the Flood, was a total blast.
Border Wars II, presented by the Colorado Paintball Club at APP Greeley, CO May, 2004
At the time of this game my main marker was a Black Dragun. It wasn't working at all that day, so I spent a good portion of the game playing with my Bushmaster SI. Later, one of the venders at the game lent me his PGI Mayhem. It was a fun little marker, I just don't think it would be the one for me.
Halo 2: Alliance at APP Greeley, CO May, 2005
This was a 'Big Game' format instead of the scenario format. I decided that I wanted the chance to play a couple of games at APP this year so I didn't coordinate this one and I won't be coordinating the Aug. 6 game. I had a blast. I was shooting my Typhoon so fast in the final battle that I frosted the exposed areas on my CO2 tank.
Don't forget to check our Google group on occasion.
